During the years 1993 – 2000, between running a successful business from the Free State, and establishing a new business in the KwaZulu-Natal, there had been mistakes made and many fortunes were lost.
Fortunately we failed forward (2008-2013) and managed to rebuild our business, only to be hampered again in 2008 during the global financial crisis.
It was during this time that our family was considered in a really bad place, so much so that for our own survival we had to move to an area that was predominantly an informal settlement.
We needed to do this to reset our operational expenses, allowing us to underpin our foundations stronger than ever before.
Survival wasn’t optional!
